Ensuring Quality

Before we install pumps & tanks, we need to verify the quality of the water before human consumption.

Water Samples

Water samples for water quality analysis will be collected in clean bottles, and care will be taken to prevent accidental contamination of the bottle or water sample during sampling and transportation to the water testing laboratory. We work with SAZ labs and the University of Zimbabwe.

Equipment To Be Used During Testing

  • Sample bottles.
  • Water proof marker pen.
  • Labels.

Procedure of Water Quality Testing

  • Continuously operate the pump for at least 5 minutes.
  • Let the water flush the fittings and pipes.
  • Collect a sample of water by allowing the water from the pump to flow directly into the sample bottle.
  • Carefully replace the bottle cap and cover.

Outcomes

The results will be provided within a few hours and the outcome will determine if there are any harmful substances we need to filter out. Depending on the outcome, we may need to install additional filtration and purification systems to provide safe cleaning water.
