Our Journey

A journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step. Below is a corporate milestone for Skylake Borehole Drilling with a true depiction of how the business has been continuously growing stage by stage as well as key developments, achievements and activities that were indulged in during the course of time as the business was growing.

2017

Tatenda Samukange

The journey started with one man who had nothing but only a vision to build a proficient Borehole Drilling Company in Zimbabwe and eventually he started Skylake Borehole Drilling.

2018

Boreholes Drilled

Through support from individual clients as well as corporates, Skylake Borehole Drilling started drilling an average of 2000+ boreholes per year.

State Of The Art Rigs

In the course of the journey Skylake Borehole Drilling acquired state of the art Rigs which includes a baby Rig that is suitable for confined or smaller spaces when drilling such as back yards.

2020

Donations

In support of fighting the pandemic Skylake Borehole Drilling donated 4 boreholes to two Government hospitals namely Wilkins Hospital and Beatrice Infectious Diseases Hospital.

Blast Hole Rigs

Skylake Borehole Drilling acquired state of the art drilling Rigs that have been providing services in the Mining Industry and they have done work for Fossils Contracting & Two Trees Mining to name a few.

State Of The Art Offices

Skylake Borehole Drillling built a state of the art Head Office which is heavily influenced by nature & passion for the sustainability of water in Zimbabwe, situated at no 214 Samora Machel Avenue, Eastlea, Harare.

Awards & Achievements

Skylake Borehole Drilling was awarded the Disruptive Organization of the Year 2020 Platinum Award. As we continued delivering unmatched service we managed to scope another 20+ awards and breaking a record in 2021.

Skylake Drilling

As the business is getting bigger and better, we are now expanding our services from Borehole Drilling to other Drilling Services, like Blasthole Drilling.

Our Equipment

One of the top key success factors of borehole drilling is having the right tools and equipment operating at the highest efficiency and effectiveness levels. We can highlight that Skylake Drilling owns 4 drilling units with down the hole (DTH) capacity and the drill rigs and these are suitable for any terrain in Zimbabwe.

Compliance with Borehole Drilling Standards in Zimbabwe

Skylake Drilling is aware of the Zimbabwe Standard (ZNGWS-D678:2013) for Development, Maintenance and Management of Groundwater Resources as well as the Zimbabwe Water Act, Chapter 20:24. The standard and the Act regulate the quality of borehole provision services and the requirements/guidelines that are applicable to the provision of water supply for both domestic and commercial use.
