WET HOLE & DRY HOLE POLICY EXPLAINED
WHAT IS A WET HOLE POLICY?
- The Contractor shall drill a second borehole in the event that no water has been found on the first borehole. However, the client is required to provide their own surveyor/siter.
- if it so happens that water has been found on the first attempt, the contractor is not obligated to refund the difference of the extra amount paid on the wet hole policy
- in the event where the second borehole is also dry and no water has been found, we shall not be liable.
WHAT IS A DRY HOLE POLICY?
- The contractor does not guarantee water. The client shall take the risk of drilling a dry hole even if they use the contractor’s site report.
- The client shall meet the drilling costs until they find water.
TERMS OF SERVICE
- It shall be the client’s choice to decide on the type of drilling policy they want to use Wet hole or Dry hole policy.
- In case client decides to withdraw contract, the Contractor shall process refund within 7 working days with a deduction of 10%.
iii. The contractor does not guarantee class 6 casing incase client chooses to use it for other reasons they shall be liable for their choice if any mishaps, damage or malfunction take place.
- Our warrantee period is 12 months.
- In case we drill a borehole and the client chooses not to install a pump immediately in prime time, the client shall be liable for the flushing of the borehole on the day of pump installation and if not shall be liable for any mishaps or malfunction thereof.
- Our siting may recommend special type of casing and in case client chooses not to adhere to the requirements. The Contractor shall automatically nullify warrantee.
vii. It is the client’s responsibility to process their ZINWA drilling permit and in case they want the contractor to do so on their behalf there shall be a charge for the service. If the client does not pay for the permit they will be held responsible for the payment of fine for both the contractor and themselves
viii. The average distance from the water source to the tank for installation is 20m any extra meters shall be charged for.
- On the day of drilling in case The Contractor does not get noticeable yield it shall be the client’s responsibility to pay for borehole capacity testing for way forward workplan.
- The contractor reserves the right to stop drilling when difficult drilling conditions & other unforeseen underground geological formation conditions are encountered.
- It is entirely The Client’s responsibility to make the site accessible for the contractor and in the event that the site is not accessible the contractor reserves the right to leave the site until such a time that the site is made accessible.
xii. Goods shall remain the property of Skylake Boreholes until full payment.
